The Department of Educational Leadership at Kansas State University offers a variety of programs and emphases under a broad leadership umbrella. As an overview:

Educational Leadership
The Department offers a full program of educational leadership graduate studies culminating in the M.S. (PDF) and Ed.D. (PDF) degrees. The programmatic focus is on developing leaders in educational settings, with an emphasis on P-12 settings. For most graduates, program focus leads to professional building (PDF) or district (PDF) licensure as a school principal or superintendent. The department cooperates with other parts of the college to license other school professionals such as special education directors. Since the department's inception, over 600 master's degrees and more than 300 doctoral degrees have been awarded to our alumni (PDF).

Distance Learning Opportunities
The department offers a sizable proportion of masters degree and professional license programming via distance-enhanced delivery. A limited amount of doctoral coursework is available. Distance-enhanced options are available in educational leadership (PDF) and adult education (PDF).
